Range of Light - A Five Day Fastpack of the John Muir Trail
August 9-13, 1998

A run report by Blake P. Wood, bwood@lanl.gov

In August 1998 I ran the John Muir Trail, 223 miles between Mt. Whitney and Yosemite Valley in California's Sierra Nevada Mountains, for my 40th birthday. It took me 5 days. Interested in what it was like? Then read either the short report I posted to the internet, or the long article I wrote which appeared in the December 1998 issue of UltraRunning Magazine. (You'll need a pdf viewer to see the long article.)
